Columbia University approached chef Franklin Becker to establish their food and beverage offerings in their new 6.8 million square foot campus. This included a food hall and restaurant. Integration challenges such as the Renzo Piano design, coordination with complex building engineering due to active research facilities within the building and diverse demographic were addressed to best suit the University’s unique requirements.
